Dr. Diandra Prescod is an award-winning counselor educator, licensed professional counselor, speaker, and career development expert whose work spans higher education, leadership, student success, and mental wellness. Her professional contributions include national presentations, leadership within counseling organizations, research initiatives, and mentorship of future counseling professionals.

Leadership Roles
Dr. Prescod has held leadership roles across higher education and professional counseling organizations, including Program Coordinator at two universities, Interim Department Head, University Senate representative, President of CCCDA and the National Career Development Association (NCDA), Secretary of EB-ACA, and NCDAs Trustee for Higher Education Career Counselors and Specialists.

Her leadership work focuses on student success, professional advocacy, mentorship, and advancing the counseling and career development professions.

Dr. Prescod’s research and scholarly interests center on career development, counselor education, mental wellness, student success, and equity in higher education. Her work includes collaborative scholarship, program development, and grant-supported initiatives aimed at enhancing educational access, professional growth, and student outcomes.

Teaching & Mentorship
Dr. Prescod has experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in both in-person and online learning environments and has developed online courses designed to support student engagement and professional growth.

She also serves as Program Coordinator for the Holmes Scholars Program, mentoring doctoral students through leadership development, scholarship, professional identity, and academic success. Her teaching and mentorship approach centers on empowerment, connection, and supporting students in reaching their personal and professional goals.
